How to get rid of mould on walls permanently

Damp can come usually in two main forms, which are; penetrating damp - where the water comes in through the walls, and rising damp - where the water in the ground which normally be blocked by the damp proof course, is making its way past it and upwards into the house. Some damp is caused by condensation. This can lead to a growth in mould that appears as a patch of little black dots. Condensation occurs when moist air comes into contact with a colder surface like a wall or window. The air can’t hold the moisture and tiny drops of water appear on these surfaces.  It also can occur in places the air is still, like the corners of rooms, behind furniture or inside wardrobes.

Dehumidifiers are helpful if you are trying to prevent your house from mould, in case of recent flooding and the source of the flood has been removed. But in many cases, professional work would need to be done to stop the cause of the problem, or any damp removal will be in vain, because it will only come back again over time.
